Galapagos Sea Turtle

This Galapagos Sea Turtle was by far the biggest sea I have ever seen. It is such a magical experience to swim with them. Like other sea turtles around the world, they are endangered.  They are the only species of sea to turtle to nest on the beaches of the Galapagos.  Some of the reasons for their decline is that they have the slowest sexual maturity rate compared other sea turtles and their eggs are poached by humans.  Part of the proceeds will benefit the Charles Darwin Foundation.
